Hi! I’m Elif, a Turkish language educator who believes that language and art are two powerful ways to understand the world.
Over the years, I’ve worked with learners from diverse backgrounds, combining creativity, curiosity, and an appreciation for the beauty of Turkish culture.
My journey took me to the University of Pennsylvania as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant, and later as a Visiting Scholar. These experiences deepened my understanding of language, identity, and connection.
Today, I teach Turkish at the university level and continue exploring how art can open new doors to cultural understanding. Through this website, I aim to introduce Turkish language, culture, and visual art in a way that sparks inspiration and curiosity; inviting Turkish language learners to notice words, form simple sentences, and engage creatively with the language.
